It’s all done.
The book is complete, and it shall be going up for sale in the next day or two.
It’s really a trippy experience seeing my work in a book. I mean, I’ve seen things that I’ve done in print before, but this is an entirely new beast.
I love it.
I love flipping through the cartoons (which look AMAZING on the printed page, despite my poor image prep in the early days), reading my comments in my own handwriting throughout the book, weighing the book in my hands and savoring that lovely visceral thrill of actually touching and holding the art that I’m consuming, instead of just staring at a screen representation. Print is a beautiful thing, let me tell you. I’m not so much of a web head that I don’t understand how powerful and wonderful books are; as much as I love webcomics, reading the same comics in print is ten times as satisfying. I can’t fully explain it, but our human need for tactile interaction with books will make sure that screens don’t ever fully replace them.

SWEET!!!! I am SO going to buy one! I completely agree! reading things on paper is way better than on a screen. How many pages is your book?
So cool… I can’t wait!
Andrew, you’re AWESOME! I am so thrilled for you and proud of you for pushing through all the work it must have taken to get this book together! And, your little essay above is beautifully written. I so agree!! I love you!
Wonderful! I loved reading your mini-essay above. It is gorgeously written and just plain lovely. I am so proud of you–Andrew! Way to go.
Totally in love with your expression of the need for print. I might have to quote you sometime!
Trust me, English majors will eat that stuff up.
I can’t wait! Do we get signed copies?
love,
Aunt Anne
Andrew how much for a book? Any discount for family?
Really nice work Andrew!! It looks GREAT!! Yes! readying off of paper is much better! I can’t wait to read it!!
Congratulations to you, dear nephie. I would love a copy! Where can I obtain one? By the way, from the nose up behind your book, you look just like a sister of mine.
